Shikumen Shepherd’s Bush

Shikumen Shepherd’s Bush
As part of the 15 day celebration of Chinese New Year to welcome the year of the pig in 2019, we went to Shikumen Shepherd’s Bush, a restaurant in the Dorsett Hotel that offers south east asian dining. There are 4 branches in London: Shepherd’s Bush, Aldgate, Ealing and Finchley Road.

When we walked into the Shepherd’s Bush branch, we saw beautiful understated south east asian decor.

Our welcome could have been better as our online reservation was confirmed for 2:15pm and they wanted to decline it. However, it was eventually sorted out and we sat down to view the menu.

We ordered 5 dim sum and and a noodle dish as dumplings represent wealth, and noodles representing long life and happiness.
